Where Purpose Meets People

Pride and Prejudice Inc.

Promoting self-determination, dignity, and opportunity against all odds.

Pride and Prejudice, Inc. is a Connecticut-based nonprofit organization committed to promoting self-determination and strengthening Black and other vulnerable populations through civic engagement, intentional community collaboration, economic empowerment, education, workforce readiness, trade and vocational opportunity, advocacy, and supportive programming.

At Pride and Prejudice, Inc., the term “vulnerable communities” refers to individuals and families facing social, economic, educational, civic, or personal barriers that may limit access to opportunity, stability, support, or meaningful community participation.

This may include underserved families, youth, seniors, returning citizens, low-income households, individuals facing hardship or isolation, and communities historically impacted by inequality or lack of resources.

Our goal is to support people with dignity, respect, practical resources, and opportunities for connection, growth, and civic engagement.

With a strong commitment to uplifting Black voices and underserved communities, our work has expanded to support individuals and families from diverse backgrounds who are facing economic, social, educational, or community barriers.

We believe every American deserves access to opportunity, respectful dialogue, community support, and the ability to participate fully in civic and public life self-sufficiently.
